Wings

June 20, 2021

What is life without wings? Suffer one must on ground or in sky but at least one could fly to new places. What I yearn for is something beautiful that mere experience of it is immersing. Something so full of life that it makes one forget the cursed questions about oneself. Where is that nectar? I, for one, can’t find it. I don’t want to live forever, but I want to live fully and then just leave.

But I guess I am too old to live anymore. It’s not age in years but age in what I have lived through. And what I lived through is too much.

Kundra wanted to call ‘The unbearable Lightness of Being’ ‘The Book of Inexperience’ instead. Inexperience may be a curse for it makes us make mistakes that experienced one in our place won’t, but it may also be the only way we could have right perspective – the fearlessness of a child at its play. Its only first loves people talk so much about – those are only ones we can give ourselves into; being as yet, more or less complete; when your wings haven’t been eaten into by experience. Alas! there won’t be proper firsts if you are already too broken before you enter it.
